What size are Endecott sieves?
Endecotts manufacture a wide range of perforated plate sieves for the many industries that require them. These are available in diameter sizes of 200, 300, 315, 350, 400 and 450 mm.
What is the finest sieve size?
The sieves normally used are the standard 8 inch (200 mm) sieves. With Fine Aggregate the coarse sieve or the 3/8” (9.5 mm) sieve at the top; each sieve below is finer; and the finest sieve, a No. 200 (75 µm) is at the bottom. A pan is placed below to retain any fine material that may pass this sieve.
How to accurately calibrate test sieves in a matter of minutes:
- Select the calibration sample size that matches the aperture size of the sieve.
- Place the sample on the sieve under test and shake for 2 minutes.
- Weigh the passing sample and calculate the percentage.
- Read the percentage passing along the graph.
- The mean average aperture size in microns can now be read off against the graph which is supplied with your sample.
